My Busy Schedule

I bought a new belt today.

"I bought a new belt today" sounds a bit like something Edward Stanton would say.
That's perfectly OK with me, as I quite admire Edward Stanton. The books about Edward - "600 Hours of Edward", "Edward Adrift" and "Edward Unspooled", written by your compatriot from Montana, Craig Lancaster, are good for your soul. As is, I am sure, buying a new belt.

Well, I will have to look into it. I'm always looking for something good to read - one paragraph per night, before I drift off to sleep.
Despite my rarely commenting (or anyone else, for that matter), it's good to have you back from wherever you've been. When you don't come around, I lose half my audience.

It's been nice to catch up with your posts again.
Writing letters is an activity accompanied by an expectation of response, and it's a bit disconcerting when there is none. It's the same with blogging. The pageview stats are an poor substitute for a comment from a reader.
My own blog is dying a slow death from this sensory deprivation.
Since you seem like a nice bloke, I thought I'd let you know that there is, in fact, somebody out here who is interested in what you say.

I'm not a particularly social person, which I guess is why I have a blog, as opposed to a Facebook page. But I get what you're saying about comments - and I very much appreciate yours.
But I also think that there's a lot out there where people could be spending their limited time - not only on the internet, but also with TV, magazines,... or life (for those that have one)- and if people are returning to your blog, whether they say so or not, it's because they find what you have to say to be worthwhile and interesting (I'm speaking of you, of course, not me.)
That doesn't take the place of written feedback, but that's still a big deal.

Aaaaagh! Your map gadget says I'm in Penshurst, a suburb in Sydney. I'm not. I am at my home in a little fishing village on the Far North Coast of NSW, population around 200 (the village, not NSW). Just sayin'.

Just one more thing and I promise to stop stalking you (although I look forward to continuing to read your posts). I wrote down my thoughts about feedback/ comments on clibrig.blogspot.com in "The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Blogger".

I figure if that gadget records anything at all, I'm ahead of the game... even if it's not quite true.
