Graduation season just ended and, for us, this means two things. 1) Before they rip the giant tent down, Sam and I needed to hustle on over to the college so he could use his metal detector to (hopefully) find some spare change.
And, 2)... I forget what number two is but I'm pretty sure there's a number two.
Anyway, Sam and I did indeed head over to the college - he with his metal detector (and garden shovel, just in case) and me with, well, nothing.
Our usual routine, which has paid off so dearly in years past, is that I take the lead, slowly walking the perimeter of the tent, and Sam, some distance behind me, traces my path, sweeping his metal detector side-to-side as he inches along.
This year, thankfully, as in years past, Sam's diligence and keen eye (and metal detector) really paid off. He netted a cool four dollars-or-so in change. That's four dollars - American!
Not too shabby for ninety minutes worth of work.
