This is a photo of what Sam's vacation bed looks like. Every morning, Sam arranges each of his 'guys' so they're ready for when he goes to bed at night.
I'm not sure how many guys there are in that photo but I do know these guys take up two full bags of space in our already crammed car. Still, what would vacation be without your friends?
Long ago, when we used to have a van, I would always pack his guys inside the van rather than in the rooftop carrier. My thinking was that in the (hopefully) unlikely event that the rooftop carrier blew off the roof, at least his guys would be safe. .
Better to loose some ratty old clothes and vacation purchases than to loose your best friends.
